Comprehensive Colour Wheels
This is a great page that discusses and lists various color groupings. It's one of my "go to" sites when looking for color combinations when I need help deciding on what colours I want to use in my creations.
There's one thing to always remember when blending your colour, any colours directly opposite each other on the wheel will always turn a "muddy" brown as they are mixed. While some underpainting artists think this is a good thing, it's the worst possible outcome if you're mixing paint colours!
There's also a free online tool from Adobe and another similar one from Canva that can help you choose colour schemes when you're not sure what colours to use in your projects. There's even the option to copy the colour codes across to photo editing and printing software for perfect colour matching.
If the online colour wheels look a bit daunting, you can download a free colour wheel template in pdf format. Simply print it out on a piece of cardstock, cut it out as per the included instructions and join it with a simple split pin.
