Tutorial 1: Pencil Colouring Using Vaseline and Cheap pencils. A tutorial on how to blend cheaper colored pencils, using Vaseline (or any other brand of petroleum jelly). By adding the jelly to your work, pencils will blend quickly and seamlessly on the paper. 



In this pencil blending tutorial, I've added the darkest color and blended out to nothing using oil. In this post, I've detailed a few hints and tips that I discovered along the way. I used baby oil here, but the hints would be the same for any oils.


This third tutorial expands even further on blending mediums, where every possible blender solution is discussed.
A cotton tip or paper stump is recommended to blend with and it covers all regular pencil types, cheap, wax and oil based, but not watercolor where you only need water to blend.
