Colouring Dry Embossed Cardstock

How To Colour The Raised Areas Of Dry Embossing

Many ask about ways to colour the raised areas of a dry embossed panel and there are now foam based tools available for purchase to apply ink to those raised regions.

But, did you know you can make your own versions of these tools? This post shows just how easy it is with basic supplies (image credit).

You could even make a larger "highlighter" with an old wooden stamp block you've removed the stamp from for an even larger tool. Just add a "gripping side" piece of Velcro to that block with a strong glue like Glossy Accents so you can remove the foam/felt piece easily for washing.

    1. Yes! I bought a dedicated tool just to see how they were made and received a 2 5" wooden stamp block with craft foam attached directly to the wood. Now I know how they're made, I'll be making my own from now on!😁
